About Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd

The Company was incorporated in Mumbai, Maharashtra on December 19, 1986 as a flagship company of the Motherson Group and provides specialized full-system solutions to diverse customer base in the automotive and other related industries. The Group has 230 facilities across 41 countries, 23 facilities in India and is jointly owned by Samvardhana Motherson International Limited and Sumitomo Wiring Systems Limited. On July 2, 2020, the Board of Directors approved a merger and arrangement for a demerging process of their Domestic Wiring Harness Undertaking into the resulting company. The shareholders of the company approved the scheme on April 29, 2021 and the company has been expanding its customer base by acquiring Bombardiers UK Rolling Stock Electrical Component, Systems business and Bombardiers EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems) business in Mexico. In 2018, MSSL acquired Reydel Group from France and became Samvardhana Motherson Reydel Companies (SMRC). The Company has adopted a research oriented approach to develop new and innovative technologies, has earned various certifications for their facilities and provide customers efficient and sustainable product line.
