IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Limited) was formed in 1964, after the merger of Indian Oil Company Ltd and Indian Refineries Ltd. The company manages sub-brands, including IndianOil for its petroleum products, Servo for lubricants, and Indane for LPG cooking gas.
IOCL is a PSU Maharatna company that refines and distributes oil and gas products and is one of the largest refiners in the country, with 11 refineries and a total capacity of 80.80 MMTPA (million metric tonnes per annum). The company has over 37,500 fuel stations spread across India.
As of FY24, the IOCL LPG brand, Indane, caters to more than 150 million customers. It has a network of ~20,000 km. It is also the second largest domestic player in Petrochemicals, with a capacity of ~4.4 MMTP.
