About SBI Funds Management Ltd

SBI Funds Management Limited was originally incorporated as SBI Funds Management Private Limited as a Private limited company at Mumbai dated February 7 1992 with the Registrar of Companies Maharashtra. Thereafter the Company was converted to a Public limited company and the name was changed to SBI Funds Management Limited and a fresh Certificate of incorporation dated December 16 2021 was issued by the Registrar of Companies Maharashtra. SBI Funds Management Limited is the largest asset management company AMC in India by quarterly average mutual fund assets under management QAAUM with QAAUM of Rs 12499.70 billion and a mutual fund market share of 15.4 as of December 31 2025. The Company is a joint venture between SBI and AMUNDI.The Company was granted approval by Securities and Exchange Board of India SEBI under SEBI Mutual Funds Regulations 1993subsequently replaced by SEBI Mutual Funds Regulations 1996 SEBI Regulations to act as the Investment Manager of SBI MutualFund. The Company manages the Investment Portfolios of the schemes launched by the Fund and provides various administrative services to the Fund as laid down in the Restated and Amended Investment Management Agreement dated March 12 2024. The Company has a wholly owned foreign subsidiary namely SBI Funds ManagementInternational Private Limited which is based in Mauritius and manages Offshore Funds.The Company offers alternate asset investment products through Alternative Investment Funds AIF. The Company is acting as anInvestment Manager of SBI Alternative Equity Fund SBI Alternative Debt Fund which is registered with SEBI as a category III categoryII AIF respectively under SEBI Alternative Investment Funds Regulations 2012. Further the Company acts as an Investment Manager to Corporate Debt Market Development Fund CDMDF an AIF set up under SEBI AIF Regulations for developing a Backstop Facility for development of the corporate debt market by providing backstop facility at the time of market dislocation to benefit the wider corporate debt market.The Company is also providing the management and advisory services to Category I foreign portfolio investors and Category II foreignportfolio investors through fund managers managing the schemes of the SBI Mutual Fund as permitted under SEBI Mutual FundsRegulations 1996.The Company had set up its IFSC Branch for carrying out Fund Management activities at IFSCGIFT City. Subsequently Company has also incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary company in IFSCGIFT City viz. SBI Funds International IFSC Limited on February 07 2024 for undertaking Portfolio Management Services and Investment Management activities / services for pooled assets in IFSCGIFT City. The existing business of SBI Funds Management Limited IFSC Branch was transferred to the Subsidiary Company with effect from August 12 2024.Company has filed a Draft Prospectus with SEBI and is planning the IPO by issuing 203709239 equity shares of Re 1 each through Offer for Sale..
