About Adani Power Ltd

Adani Power Limited (APL) is India’s largest private power generation company and is a key entity within the Adani Portfolio. The company is engaged in generating and selling electricity through thermal and solar power plants. Adani Power Limited currently has 18,150 MW of operating capacity across 13 assets in 8 states, which accounts for about 3.82% of India’s total installed capacity of 475,000 MW in FY25.

Adani Power earns most of its revenue from long-term contracts (84%) with government utilities, ensuring steady income, and the rest from short-term contracts and merchant sales, where prices vary with demand and can be higher during peak periods.

Out of the total, 10,840 MW comes from power plants developed and operated by APL itself (organic growth). Additionally, the company has added 7,270 MW by acquiring and integrating existing power plants (inorganic growth). A notable asset in its portfolio is a 40 MW solar power plant located at Kutch, Gujarat, which contributes to clean energy capacity. It plans to expand to 30,670 MW by FY30, with 12,520 MW already under development.
