About Aurum Proptech Ltd

Aurum Proptech Ltd (earlier known as Majesco Ltd), a real estate development company established in 1999, has successfully delivered landmark projects and state-of-the-art spaces in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Aurum Ventures is actively involved in projects including acquisition, design, development, project management, property management, hospitality, sales and leasing of 7 million square feet of Grade-A real estate assets. In 2018, Aurum sold 1.4 million square feet of commercial spaces to a Singapore-based fund for Rs 930 Crores. The acquisition of 51 stakes in Pune based software technology firm and the associated PropTech products of Sell.Do, Kylas and others enable Aurum to create the first Real Estate Technology Ecosystem in India.

In 2020, the merger of its US subsidiary InsPro Technologies Corporation, Inspro, was approved by Majesco USA. The stockholders approved the acquisition of 7470540 fully paid-up equity shares of face value Rs 5 for an aggregate amount of Rs 63126 lakhs in an Extraordinary General Meeting later that year. Approximately Rs 8669 lakhs was paid for the transaction along with Rs 4265 lakhs for buyback tax and Rs 558 lakhs for the related expenses. Before the completion of the year, the entire InsurTech stake of Aurum's US subsidiary and the associated operations were sold off, helping the company acquire Rs 3777.68 USD 514 million.

Finally, in 2021, Aurum signed a share purchase agreement with erstwhile promoters to acquire 14.78 stake in Majesco Ltd at 77 per share, along with an open offer for additional 20.26 of Majesco's public shareholders, costing a total of Rs 67 crores. After the acquisition, Aurum is now in control of Majesco Ltd.
