About Smruthi Organics Ltd

Smruthi Organics was founded in 1989 and converted to a public limited company in 1995. Their main product range included diloxanide furoate and sulphadiazine in 24 tpa and 36 tpa respectively when they set up their first plant at Solapur, Maharashtra. In 1993-94, it enlarged the range of its products to include metronidazole benzoate, tinidazole, paracetamol and norfloxacin. The following year, in 1995, they expected to expand their product range further through setting up an additional plant at Chincholi, Maharashtra with ciprofloxacin and ranitidine HCl as new bulk drugs. By the same year, they also got the District Award from the Government of Maharashtra for being the Best Small Scale Entrepreneur in Solapur. In December 1995, the company went public in order to help finance the new project. Smruthi Organics has been exporting furoic acid to the UK market since its inception.
