About R S Software (India) Ltd

Established on 2 December 1987 and going public in 1992, R S Software is a company that creates customised commercial application software to fulfil customer needs. A public issue at a premium of Rs10 was set in March 1994 to help fund the development of offshore software jobs at their existing hardware setup in India. They later joined forces with Hanover Direct of the US forming a 60/40 joint venture respectively. ISO 9001 certification from KPMG in July 1994 was obtained followed by the completion of satellite communication between Calcutta and California in November 1995. In subsequent years, R S Software created strategic alliances with Software AG Germany and Millenium Dynamics Inc. USA. They have also developed capabilities in client/server and object oriented technologies along with executing projects with newer technologies. In 2000 they achieved level 3 of People Capability Maturity Model (PCMM) and set up a subsidiary in the UK – R S Software UK Ltd. – to serve clients in Greater Europe. All these efforts position R S Software to be a global leader in providing quality customised software applications.
