About Mid India Industries Ltd

Mid India Industries MIIL, previously known as Mid India Spinning Company, was incorporated in March 1991 as a 100% export-oriented spinning unit in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. Its first phase, consisting of 12,480 spindles, was completed at a cost of Rs. 16.3 crore. The plant was equipped with modern spinning machines and commercial production started in January 1994. The company entered into an agreement with Unimax Italy for the entire production. The second phase, totaling 12,500 spindles, has begun with the construction of the building and the selection of necessary machinery. In 1995-96, the company earned foreign exchange worth Rs. 18.94 crore. Due to the accumulated losses and erosion of its over 100% net worth, the company became a ‘sick industrial company’ according to Section 31O of SICA. As part of its expansion plans, the company is setting up another 8,160 spindles and planning to open an overseas office for effective international marketing.
