About Link Pharma Chem Ltd

Link Pharma Chem LPCL was incorporated as a private limited company in the small-scale sector in 1984 with the capacity to manufacture 300 tonnes of Thionyl Chloride (TC) per annum (tpa). In 1989, the capacity was increased to 1500 tpa to meet the growing demand. In 1993 SIDBI assisted LPCL to further expand the capacity to 2100 tpa, which was completed in 1994. The same year, a partnership firm, manufacturing Chlorinated Paraffin (CP) with 1080 tpa capacity was merged with LPCL and the unit was modernised and expanded to 3300 tpa. The product range was also expanded with the inclusion of CP 70 450 tpa and Dinitro Ortho Toluamide (DOT) 450 tpa. While TC is used in the manufacture of pesticides, pharmaceuticals and dyestuffs, DOT is primarily used as an additive in poultry feed, and CP is mainly used as a filler material in paints, PVC products, lube oils, etc. In 1995-96, the expansion project to manufacture Thionyl Chloride and intermediates was successfully completed with an increased capacity of 3300 tpa from the initial capacity of 2100 tpa.
