About Jayabharat Credit Ltd

Jayabharat Credit Ltd (JCL) is an Investment & Finance company operating mainly in Hire-Purchase and Leasing of various products. It was incorporated in 1989, after becoming independent from its parent company New India Assurance Company in 1988. It also holds the rating MA from ICRA as of 1997, meaning it provides adequate safety in timely servicing of interest and principal. Since 2000, it has been promoting Jayabharat Automobiles Ltd jointly with Motor & General Finance Ltd with equity participation. The company's Capital Adequacy Ratio stands at 30.35 as of March 2001, which is double the minimum requirement (12) of RBI. It is involved in a variety of Investment & Finance businesses of which Hire-Purchase and Leasing form a major part.
