About India Cements Ltd

India Cements Ltd is the largest producer of cement in South India, with a market share of 28% and over 10,000 stockists. Established in 1946, the company operates multiple plants across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, producing a range of popular brands, as well as ready-mix concrete (RMC). Over the years, there have been a number of expansions and mergers, with subsidiaries including Industrial Chemicals and Monomers Ltd, ICL Financial Services Ltd, ICL Securities Ltd, ICL International Ltd, Trinetra Cement Ltd, Visaka Cement Industry Ltd and Raasi Cement Ltd. Power generation capacity has been increased through the installation of the Unique Waste Heat Recovery System for generation of power from waste gas, and a gas based captive power plant. Land purchase activities and other preparations have started for setting up a cement plant in the State of Madhya Pradesh. The company has also sold an aircraft and is in the process of buying another one. Additionally, the company has mined and sold a total of 299925 Tonnes of coal during the 2017-19 period, with 103398 Tonnes being sold to them.
