About TVS Srichakra Ltd

TVS Srichakra is a part of the USD 8.5 billion TVS group and has been a major player in the auto ancillary sector since 1982. The company manufactures two-wheeler, three-wheeler, and other industrial tyres, and works in joint ventures with DuPont and Cherry. They have also established subsidiaries such as TVS Srichakra Investments Limited, TVS Sensing Solutions Private Limited, and Fiber Optic Sensing Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The company has invested in modeling software, machine center, and other related infrastructures in order to develop modern products. They are ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited, and won TPM Excellence Award and practice Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Techniques.

TVS Srichakra also launched their premium range called MEGA STAR in the year 1999-2000. Further, they invested Rs.3.17 crores to increase their plant capacity of Automotive Tyres to 36 lakhs nos per annum and Tubes to 33 lakhs no per annum.

In FY 2015, the company expanded its two-wheeler tyre distribution channels and participated in various international shows for brand building. Subsequently, the company entered new markets for the sale of off-highway tyres and sold their investments in TVS Europe Distribution Limited due to strategic reasons.

The company also focused on premium models and technological advancements for BSVI standards and vehicle electrification. In August 2019, they have launched the Brand TVS Eurogrip directed at meeting millennial customer needs. Recently, in December 2020 the company announced its planned capital expenditure of Rs. 1000 Crores to ramp up the manufacturing in their Madurai and Pantnagar plants. This investment will result in an increase in two-three wheeler tyre capacity by 25-30%, and double the off-highway tyre capacity from current levels.
