About Super Spinning Mills Ltd

Super Spinning Mills (SSML) was established in 1962 and began producing cotton yarn in April 1964, initially with an installed capacity of 12,000 spindles. Through the 1980s and 1990s, the firm greatly expanded its production capabilities, establishing additional units with capacities of 28,800 and 100,80 spindles respectively. The company's expansive growth was financed by financial institutions, who provided rights at a premium of Rs 10 per share. SSML's achievements were acknowledged when it received the Board of Trustee of ICMF Birla Trust Award for Quality Management and the Best Management Award for 1998-99 from the Andhra Pradesh Government. To increase the effectiveness of its management and utilization of its resources, two subsidiaries were merged with SSML in 2002. Additionally, an Apparel and Fashion division was opened in January 2002 which aimed to produce Polo T-shirts. Looking to the future, the firm is aiming to set up another garment unit in Thekkalur Village, Coimbatore District.
