About Star Paper Mills Ltd

Star Paper Mills, a Bajorias owned company, was taken over by the Duncan Goenka group in 198687, due to rehabilitation package. The company produces and markets writing and printing paper, paper boards, MG kraft paper under the brand name 'Star'. They also diversified into sugar segment, setting up a 2500 tpd unit near Saharanpur. In 1995, they issued a public offer and changed product mix to 100% bleach products. During 199899, they underwent modernisation and commissioned a chemical recovery boiler and evaporator plant, resulting in cost savings. In 19992000, they produced and marketed special constitutional document as well as photocopier paper under the brand Star Copier.
