About Pitti Engineering Ltd

Pitti Laminations PLL is an Indian electrical-grade steel stamping and lamination manufacturer; established in 1983 and converted into a public limited company in 1992. After a successful public issue in 1994, the company achieved ISO 9002 certification in the same year. To service its prestigious clientele (including Siemens, GEC Kirloskar, Crompton Greaves and Bharat Bijlee), PLL expanded its capacity to 4,000 tonnes per annum in 1995 and further grew to 6,000 tpa in 1999. Despite a growth of 18.76% in sales in 1999-00, the company was subsequently declared as a Sick Industrial Company by the Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction in 2000 and the State Bank of India-Industrial Finance Branch, Hyderabad was appointed as its operating agency. The company reported a sales volume of 2,520.09 lakhs and achieved a 57.23% increase in exports in 2001.
