About Monind Ltd

Monnet Industries, formerly named Annapurna Engineering Pvt Ltd, was founded by M P Saraf in 1982 and later converted into a public limited company in February 1984. Sandeep Jajodia, the present managing director, became the promoter of the company in July 1989. In April 1992, the company was renamed Monnet Ferro Alloys due to the introduction of a ferro chrome project. Up until 1991, the company carried out routine sale and purchase of investments. Three months later, they set up a 6,000 ton-per-annum plant to produce ferro chrome in Madhya Pradesh, and commercial production began in March 1991. In March 1994, Monnet Industries Limited (MIL) was formed after the amalgamation of Rinpet Financiers Pvt Ltd. MIL went public in August 1996 to finance a project to establish an integrated sugar complex with up to 5,000 tonnes of daily crushing capacity, plus systems to generate 6MW of power in Uttar Pradesh. In the year 19992000, MIL increased the crushing capacity from 3,125 to 5000 TCD. In 200001, MIL exported 18.43 lakh units of power to the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Board.
