About Modern Steels Ltd

Modern Steels was established in 1973 and is based in Gobindgarh, Punjab, India. The company produces carbon and alloy steel with a melting capacity of 100,000 tonnes per annum and a rolling mill capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum. In the 1989-90 financial year it copromoted Modern Dairies to set up a dairy project in Karnal, Haryana, with a capacity of 3.2 lac litres per day at a cost of Rs 13.56 crore. Later, in 1995, it increased the capacity of its rolled products from 30,000 tonnes per annum to 50,000 tonnes per annum and achieved ISO9002 Certification by DNV Norway with accreditation from RvA Netherlands in 1998-99. Modern Steels is led by Amarjit Goyal (Chairman) and Krishan Goyal (Managing Director).
