About Magadh Sugar & Energy Ltd

Magadh Sugar and Energy Ltd (MSEL), a part of the KK Birla Group, was established in March 2015. The company has operations in India and focuses on the production and sale of sugar and byproducts such as molasses, bagasse, pressmud, denatured spirits, ethanol and power. It has 3 sugar mills with a combined crushing capacity of 17,500 TCD, 1 distillery at Narkatiaganj with a capacity of 60 KLPD, and a 38 MW cogeneration facility. MSEL is in the process of setting up a 75 KLPD distillery at the Bharat Sugar Mills, Sidhwalia in Bihar. In 2021, the company applied for voluntary delisting of its shares from the Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) in accordance with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)'s Delisting of Equity Shares Regulations 2009. This was approved and MSEL's shares were delisted from the CSE on February 12, 2021.
