About Gillanders Arbuthnot & Company Ltd

Gillanders Arbuthnot And Company Limited (GACL) has been operating since 1947 and is a renowned name in the business of cultivating and selling tea, producing and selling Kalamazoo binders, Kalamazoo sheets, continuous conveyor belt weighers and plastic containers. The company diversified further into manufacturing HDPE containers at Janakipuram, Tamil Nadu with an outlay spending of Rs 17 crores and a term loan from ICICI of Rs 10.35 crores. Presently, the production capacity stands at 370000 Nos per annum. Additionally, GACL issued Bonus shares in 1998 in the ratio of 1:1, taking the share capital to Rs 4.76 crores, and has acquired GIS Ltd in 2005, where one equity share of Rs 10 will be issued for every three equity shares held. Its subsidiaries include Jutlibari Tea Tengpani Tea Waldies and Gillanders Investments and Services.
