About FDC Ltd

FDC Limited is a research oriented pharmaceutical company established in 1936, engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of Formulations, Finished Dosage Forms and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). It is present in Regulated and Emerging markets, and has subsidiaries in USA and UK and a joint venture in South Africa. The company manufactures Electral Oral Rehydration Salt (ORS) and has set up a plant for tablets in Goa. Through an alliance with Aspen Pharmacare, FDC markets ophthalmic products in South Africa, and has received US FDA approval for its Roha plant, Waluj facility and Jogeshwari Mumbai Laboratory. During the previous years, upgrades and expansions were financed through an initial public issue, and capacity was increased. Apart from its Formulations business where it launched various products, FDC is also involved in Nutraceuticals business, and has aligned itself in terms of portfolio and priorities. It has launched Enerzal and was the drink provider for the Mumbai Marathon 2015. Moreover, FDC has initiated GCSF project, Technical Thrombolyte, and New Chemical Entity. It bought an immovable property in Mumbai for Rs 261 crores and concluded buyback of its equity shares of Re. 1 each for an aggregate of Rs 4651.17 lacs in 2013. Having acquired an additional stake in Fair Deal Corporation pharmaceutical SA Pty Ltd, FDC became a subsidiary in 2021. Additionally, FDC has widened its presence to new areas and launched selective molecules like Favipiravir Hand Sanitiser, Ivermectin, and Dexamethasone during 2021.
