About Emmessar Biotech & Nutrition Ltd

Emmessar Biotech Nutrition Ltd (EBNL) started off as Emmessar Chemical Industries Ltd (ECIL) in March 1992 and soon gained recognition from the Ministry of Science and Technology in New Delhi, India. When they realised that their specialty chemicals were being used to produce healthcare formulations, the company saw a potential opportunity to enter this market. As evidence of their success in healthcare, they changed their name to Emmessar Biotech Nutrition Ltd which better represented their new core activity. Today their core business is Vital Micro Nutrients, through combining Cosmeceuticals, Ayurveda, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology, known as VedaCeuticals, to and address obstinate skin problems, chronic physical ailments and muscle/bone problems. The company has a paid-up share capital of 50 million rupees (approx. 1 million USD) and is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
