About APM Industries Ltd

APM Industries, a member of the Rajgarhia group, was established in 1974 and is engaged in the manufacture of synthetic blended yarn at its unit in Bhiwadi, Alwar district, Rajasthan, under the Orient Syntex brand name. The company has been continuously increasing their production capacity, from 16,256 to 20,608 spindles, since 1990, using its own resources. In 1994, another 9,600 spindles unit was set up with an estimated capital investment of Rs 1,600 lac, in two phases. In 1995-96, gross sales of the company rose by 57%, with only marginal profit due to an increase in financial charges and raw material cost. A power plant of 2.5 MW capacity was constructed in 19992000 to reduce dependence on the grid supply. In 200001, sales rose to Rs. 133.60 crores, a 12.30% increase from the previous year. Unfortunately, the textile industry is facing a deep recession, making the prospects of the current fiscal unclear.
