About Ambika Cotton Mills Ltd

ACML (Ambika Cotton Mills Limited) is a textile mill located in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu and was incorporated in 1988. It initially had a capacity of 6048 spindles and has doubled its capacity to 12096 spindles. In 1994, it installed a modernisation cum balancing scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 1370 lakhs with an assistance of Rs 1050 lakhs from IDBI under TUFS. This enabled their production capacity to reach 21168 and plans of installing 4 more autoconers to enable export production. In 1996, ACML offered 15.15 lakh shares of Rs 10 each for cash at a premium of Rs 68 amounting to a total of Rs 1181.70 lakh for further expansion plans.
